Continuing Education Credits
Credit for each course will be based on hourly attendance (1 hour = 1 credit).
Eligibility
Dentists holding degrees from accredited schools are eligible to attend these courses, as are laboratory technicians, dental hygienists, dental assistants and other team members, where indicated.
Registration Fees
All registration fees include tuition, course materials, refreshments, luncheon (when applicable), and if requested, reserved or validated parking. Dentists and laboratory technicians must pay the full tuition as indicated by each course description.
Senior citizen dentists may attend lecture programs at a reduced rate. See individual course descriptions for the senior citizen tuition fees. Any dentist who is 65 or older may register as a senior citizen dentist. Dental hygienists, dental assistants, and business staff must pay the individual dental team member tuition as indicated by each course description.
The following applies for multiple registrations at designated lecture programs: all dentists and laboratory technicians - pay full fee; first dental hygienist, dental assistant or business staff - pays full dental hygienist, dental assistant, or business staff fee; second and each additional dental hygienist, dental assistant or business staff - pays reduced fee.
School of Dentistry Alumni Society members may receive a 10% discount for "lecture only" continuing education courses. (This discount applies to School of Dentistry Alumni Society members only and not their employees.)
Refund Policy
Lecture Programs
A full refund will be made if you cancel at least one week (five working days) prior to the program. If you cancel less than one week prior to the program, a $25 processing fee will be deducted from your refund. For registrations charged to your credit card, the refund will be credited to your account. No cash refunds will be issued on charged registrations.
Participation Programs
A full refund will be issued if you cancel at least one month (30 total days) before the first program session. If you cancel less than 30 days prior to the program an amount equivalent to the deposit will be deducted from your refund. For registrations charged to your credit card, the refund will be credited to your account. No cash refunds will be issued on charged registrations.
Open Enrollment Policy
Qualified individuals with disabilities shall not be excluded from participating or be denied the benefits of any program, service or activity offered by the University of Minnesota Continuing Dental Education program. Please contact our office at least 2 weeks prior to the course date at (800)685-1418 or (612)625-1418 if you require special needs to participate in a continuing education program.

- Register online.
Applications for registration will be processed in the order received, and the Office of Continuing Dental Education & Alumni Relations reserves the right to end registration when the enrollment limit has been reached. The registration fee must accompany the application. Please make your check(s) payable to the UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA. One check may cover several registrations.
