Head and Neck Anatomy: The Skeletal Structures


This self-instructional package focuses on the skeletal structures of the head and neck and was designed as a review for all members of the dental team.

Upon completion of this course you will know how to:

  • locate cranial and facial bones and some aspects of these bones relevant to dental procedures, such as sinuses, sutures, foramina, protuberances and processes.
  • identify components of the temporomandibular joint.
  • identify major bones and some of their aspects on radiographs on a normal patient.
