14th Annual Ski & Learn: Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Thursday-Saturday, February 12-14, 2009

About the Steamboat Ski Area

Steamboat, positioned 7,000 feet up in the Colorado Rockies is home to one of North America' s largest ski mountains. This northwestern Colorado ski resort, which averages 27 feet of snow yearly, is renowned for its season-long "champagne powder," Steamboat ski area gives you not just one mountain to explore but five peaks that include 141 trails (13% beginner, 56% intermediate, 31% advanced), all accessed by one of the Rockies largest lift systems. The Silver Bullet 8 passenger gondola and three high-speed quad chair lifts assure little or no lift times. Steamboat is also recognized for having one of the finest ski & snowboard schools and the premier kids program in the industry. And, as an added bonus, kids 12 years of age and under ski free when parents purchase a five-day pass.

About the City of Steamboat Springs

The city of Steamboat Springs offers two distinct shopping and entertainment areas, the "Village" and "Old Town," with free bus transportation between the two. Included in the area are over 70 diverse restaurants and bars and an abundance of boutiques and galleries to explore. There is also plenty to do for the non-skiers and site-seers, from hot air balloon rides to horse drawn sleigh rides, mountain top dining, tubing, snowshoeing, hot spring pools, snowmobile excursions, and more.
