Are you looking for a meaningful study club experience without the planning hassles? Would you like a convenient way to earn core competency credit for your Minnesota license?

Please join us at the University of Minnesota for an exciting continuing education series tailored for you to keep up with the relevant scientific literature as well as contemporary practice. The University Gold Orthodontic Study Club was created to meet the needs of busy orthodontists who want to: 1) keep abreast of the emerging body of knowledge in orthodontics, 2) direct and participate in their learning experiences, and 3) be a part of an ongoing learning group that will continue into future years. Although the focus and direction of the study club will be guided by the participants, the monthly sessions could include:

  • Selected presentations on orthodontics and related topics
  • Case presentations by faculty leaders and participants
  • Discussion of challenging cases from your office
  • Review of current and classic literature
  • Hands-on demonstrations of new clinical and laboratory techniques
  • Exposure to 2D and 3D digital imaging

This orthodontic study club will be coordinated by Brent Larson, D.D.S., M.S., Associate Professor and Director, Division of Orthodontics, Department of Developmental and Surgical Sciences, School of Dentisty, University of Minnesota. Dr. Larson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He has served as the Graduate Program Director both for the University of Minnesota and the Mayo Clinic and is one of the regular contributors to the Practical Reviews in Orthodontics series.
