2nd Annual Robert J. Feigal Symposium:
New Horizons in Children's Dental Care 2008

Core Competency Credit Course

Friday, September 19, 2008

Are you looking for a course that will help you to individualize preventive and treatment strategies for your young patients? Would you like to explore clinical issues that impact you on a daily basis?

You will come away from this unique professional development opportunity with fresh ideas and practical knowledge in pediatric dentistry. Three experts in pediatric dentistry will discuss the latest standards of care related to: 1) caries prevention and control of biofilms for caries management, 2) evidence-based fluoride recommendations that change some of our previous assumptions, and 3) dental treatment considerations for children with cardiac conditions. This timely and practical continuing dental education course is designed to benefit pediatric dentists as well as general dentists and dental team members who treat children.

Join us and discover:

  • which diagnostics, prevention materials/techniques, and treatment strategies to employ given the current state of knowledge of dental caries.
  • how to structure a preventive program that offers the best cost-effectiveness for improved oral health of your patients.
  • how to implement the new ADA evidence-based guidelines for fluoride use.
  • what these new ADA fluoride guidelines mean for your practice model.
  • what changes in approach to dental care are required when treating the child with congenital heart disease.
  • how to work with your medical colleagues in the treatment of children with cardiac problems.
