The 2012 continuing dental education program features Dr. Kevin Nakagaki, a gifted teacher and clinician who will bring you up to date on: 1) osteoporosis and bisphosphonate use, 2) blood thinners and dental care, 3) common medical syndromes and their implications to dental treatment, 4) management of medical emergencies, and 5) infectious diseases and infection control protocols. Educational MethodsIllustrated lectures and discussion. Kevin N. Nakagaki, D.D.S., full-time practitioner with HealthPartners in St. Paul, Minnesota. Dr. Nakagaki received his dental degree from the University of Minnesota in 1981. Following graduation he completed a General Practice Residency, also at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Nakagaki spent 10 years serving as Director of the Hospital Dental Clinic at the University of Minnesota prior to joining HealthPartners. His practice includes managing patients in the hospital/ambulatory surgery setting. Dr. Nakagaki is a frequently requested speaker on topics related to medicine and dentistry.
