Prerequisite: Successful completion of the Postgraduate Program in Esthetic Dentistry: Level I.

Course Instructors

Paul C. Belvedere, D.D.S., Adjunct Professor, School of Dentistry, University of Minnesota. Dr. Belvedere is an internationally renowned teacher, clinician, and innovator in composite dentistry. He has been a featured speaker for the ADA, ASDA, AACD, and AGD as well as for several dental schools worldwide. Dr. Belvedere is in private practice in Edina, Minnesota.

Fred McIntyre, D.D.S., M.S., Clinical Professor Emeritus of Restorative Dentistry at SUNY Buffalo; Diplomate, American Board of Prosthodontics. Dr. McIntyre has been active in research, and has published several articles in refereed publications related to esthetics and has lectured on the subject of esthetics at all levels of dental education. He is a consultant for Great Lakes Orthodontics and Chief of Prosthodontics at Buffalo VA Hospital.

Paul S. Olin, D.D.S., M.S., Director, Dental Implant Program; Associate Professor, Division of Prosthodontics, Department of Restorative Sciences, University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry. Dr. Olin is the Director of Postgraduate Programs in Esthetic Dentistry: Levels I-III at the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry.

Course Award
Course participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance from the Continuing Dental Education Program after successful completion of the Level II program.

Patient Information
You are requested to bring your own patients for each weekend session. Participating patients often become advocates for their dentist's office. In addition, when you bring your own patients you have the option of billing for the treatment provided at the School of Dentistry. A maximum of four units per weekend is suggested. Patients may be provided for out-of-state dentists.

Supplies and Equipment
A list of supplies that you will need to bring with you to the course will be mailed to you following your course registration. Most equipment and supplies will be provided.

Dental Laboratory and Assisting Services
You have the option of using your own dental laboratory and bringing your chairside assistant. Or if requested, the School of Dentistry will arrange for a dental assistant and for a dental laboratory technician to work with you as needed. You are responsible to pay for dental assisting and laboratory services separately. Their services are not included in the tuition payment.

These esthetic courses are useful in helping to prepare accreditation candidates for achieving the accreditation credentials in cosmetic dentistry. However, successful completion of these courses does not guarantee accreditation.
